A little bit lost

I was invited to dinner at a work colleague’s condo. She lives at 03-01, which sounds like a reasonable address until you discover that her condo complex has 16 different lobbies, each with an apartment 03-01. And her phone is turned off.

Luckily there was a large crowd of us looking for her, so even if we couldn’t get in intact with her we could crowd source locating her. I suppose if there had been 16 of us we could have divided and conquered, each going to a different lobby, bit that would have probably made the condo security cross. Fortunately somebody had the condo’s full address, so we eventually congregated in the right lobby, and then discovered we’d beaten her there from the office, which meant she wasn’t in her apartment to answer the security phone, and so we couldn’t access her floor.

And then my phone battery went flat.

At long last, we all got in, and had an enormous meal to make up for this logistical snafu. Although speaking of snafus, the enormous meal was merely an amuse-bouche, as was revealed when the real enormous meal was brought out from the kitchen.

So much for my losing weight resolution.

I got home very late, stuffed so much that my little arms stuck out like the paws of a Tyrannosaurus Rex, worried that I’d be getting up in less than 7 hours to go to the Parkrun. It’s not like I have a packed weekend ahead of me.
