This week I read Mark Rowlands’ The Philosopher And The Wolf, a paperback my father gave me on his most recent visit to Singapore. I was surprised to see when I finished it that it’s 10 years old, but then I never read any philosophy before that was exactly contemporary.

Awaiting take off
If God had meant us to fly from Singapore to Seattle, He would have made sure the flights were scheduled to depart at a reasonable hour, and not make it so that you had to be out of bed at four in the morning and in a blind panic about missing your plane.
