And back again

The promised / threatened snow didn’t materialise, although half the schools in Dallas, according to the radio in my Uber on the way to DFW, closed due to ice. There were no naked roadside men, and so I got to the airport uneventfully, had a sub par coffee, got on my plane, and slept for a couple of hours.

When I woke up, I read some more of The Master Switch, a book that manages to write about interesting things and make them boring, or incomprehensible. But more of that when I finish it.

I got to the office and had meetings for five hours, then went home, basically incapable of thought after the travel, the sleep deprivation, and the thinking. My girls were pleased to see me, which was nice. They went to sleep fast, and I spent the evening sat on the sofa, failing to talk to my wife.

So, it’s nice to be back from Texas, but I think I left my brain somewhere along the way. Ho hum.

And tomorrow, I fly to California. This is not a good week for lookong after myself… Perhaps the weekend will be quiet.
