I finally spoke to a representative from Hyundai today, and established how to get the payout for our lemon of a car. I also dug out the paperwork and found a few thousand more that I can claim back, and finally got an unsolicited call from a company trying to sell me an extended warranty on my car. I did think about asking them if they’d pay me for my exploding battery but life is too short to waste on such things.
It’s nice, being next door to our house, to be able to walk the girls to school, meeting some of their friends on the way there. That said, three children together will always travel slower than two children, despite the route being the same. I also had to dissuade La Serpiente from dragging me along by my bruised hand and yelling "giddyup horsey!" because, well, it hurt, and it wasn’t even 8 am.
We got groceries, I spent all day on calls or wrangling spreadsheets, and then I played on my Quest for 15 minutes on an impossibly hard boxing level. I’m really looking forward to the day we’re in our own house and there’s space to play in VR without banging into a wall. It’s not just a dream, right…
