The girls didn’t want to walk up to the post office today, so instead they unicycled and scootered to school and back at lunchtime. Destroyer fell off once but didn’t even complain, another step on the way to bulletproofing the kids against any mishap. The sun was shining, the air was warm, and again I spent my day inside, staring at a computer screen.
In the evening, though, I drove down to give my building contractor a large cheque, then drove back up the freeway, past a crash where somebody had smashed the whole front of their car off, and then home, avoiding buying any sweets because my wife and I need to lose weight, and keeping a stock of confectionery in the house won’t help with that.
I played a game of Blood Bowl (my first in ages as Cyberpunk has been distracting me) and then wasted a good few hours playing Cyberpunk anyway. It’s a wonderful game, but it is clearly a terrible distraction, and for the rest of the week I’m going to try to paint Blood Bowl miniatures instead and be a better person.
And so to bed ..
