I decided not to wear my boots to work today, which I regretted as soon as it started raining and, because Seattle, didn’t stop raining until almost midnight. So I got home tonight with wet feet, as well as wet trousers, and then had to put the kids to bed.
I had planned to go out tonight for some errands, but I so enjoyed being warm and dry that I fell asleep next to Destroyer and didn’t wake up for ages, so that was that. Instead, I stayed in and every half hour or so a child would wake up and come downstairs to see us oh, to not have bad dreams.
The crowning irony will be when I have a terrible dream tonight, wet the bed and then break my ankle slipping over when I get up. So look forward to that one…
