A smashing good time

We went over to the house to see what was going on today, and pay a cheque to my contractor, and found them demolishing our bathroom. This is necessary, to remove the old bath, reinforce the wall, and so on, but it has also given us an open plan bathroom. Well, there’s a gaping hole into the living room at the moment. I guess that’s getting fixed.
After school, we took the children on a wild thrill ride. To Costco, where we bought industrial sized containers of berries, breakfast cereal and vegetarian burgers. The children were at first gobsmacked by the scale of the place, and then obsessed with getting some stuffed toys to treasure. So they were happy with that, at least.

This evening they complained it was too hot. It’s February, for goodness’ sake. We left the door to their room open and tried to be quiet in the hope nobody would come into the living room. It’s a good life if you don’t weaken.
