For my birthday, I got books, candles, a woolen cosy to wrap around cups of coffee and a carrying case from my daughters for all my Blood Bowl stuff. I had the day off, so with the kids at school we went to University Village and I got new shoes and a burger, before coming home and sleeping for three hours – a perfect day.
I was napping partly because Frogmorton woke us up at 4am, by first pawing my face then jumping on it from a great height. What a cat. Then I stayed up too late playing Blood Bowl…
On the 2nd, I got up, took the kids to school then hunkered down for a few hours to sort things out, like extracting our Christmas tree and lights, and finally moving a huge pile of stuff that has been taking up our living room, down to the basement. In the afternoon my electrician came round and wired up the lights, so after almost a year we have valance lighting in the basement, and it’s pretty awesome, warm when dimmed, bright white at full power. All that was left was to put the kids to bed again, then both pass our trying to watch TV this evening. And the snow keeps falling- it’s a cold cold night and I think I’m skiving off the race tomorrow… Frogmorton needs my attention, after all…
