It’s a bit tricky to figure this out, for lots of reasons that I’ll (maybe) go into at some point, but here’s my Fumbbl performance:
2020 | Pre 2020 | |||
Win | 108 | 21% | 46 | 12% |
Draw | 91 | 18% | 58 | 15% |
Lose | 305 | 61% | 281 | 73% |
So although I ended the year with what felt like a terrible run, where I kept in an ever descending spiral of poor decision making and bad luck, I still came out better across 2020 as a whole than I did before.
I also thought I’d played a lot more before 2020 than I had – 385 matches made me feel like a veteran, but compared to the me on the 31st of December, I was just a rookie.
Is a 25% win rate for 2021 hopelessly optimistic, hopelessly pessimistic, or somewhere in between?
