I lost my running watch this week, and didn’t have time to get a new one before the race. Or so I thought, until I ordered a replacement from Amazon about 10pm, and it showed up at 7:30 this morning on our porch.
So I went to Interlaken for the last run of the winter series: a tough, steep hilly course, which I’d run once before, years ago when I was visiting from Singapore. So that was a nice return. I didn’t do too badly, but it demonstrated again that I really need to train between races, not just turn up and hope…
Today was a very busy day. I got back from the run, went to a birthday party, drove the girls to their swimming lesson, brought them back to the party, took them to another birthday party, and then Destroyer had another party to go to, before we took our neighbours’ kid for a sleepover, and then I still had to fit in a game of Blood Bowl. (My mood was good: lost 1-0 but ny team was undamaged, which always helps.) My legs were fried from the run so I was a shambling mess, but at least we did a lot today. On, and on and on…
