Finally, after almost a year, we got somebody round to repair our dishwasher. It turns out the previous owner fixed the water hose with duct tape at some point, and that had rotted out, and so it had been leaking water every time we tried to use it. So now, after more than six months of washing dishes by hand, we have a machine again. This makes me very happy.
My wife also began baking Christmas puddings, which also makes me very happy. She’s making around six or eight pounds of pudding, I think, which will last us all a good long time.
I went to the office today and spent the whole time on phone calls, which rather negates the point of being there in person. I also took calls from home at 8 am and 930pm, so I suppose I did everything, the whole gamut of human experience. What a life. Still, dishes!
