Girl, interrupting

Last night La Serpiente took my phone away from me and hid it in her bed, and I was so tired I fell asleep, and when I woke up in a darkened room I didn’t want to turn on the lights to wake her up.
So that was an evening deprived of the Internet. I stumbled around, lay on the sofa and eventually went to sleep, and then couldn’t find my phone this morning.

Today it was wet and cold. I worked at home for a while, then worked at the local pub while our cleaners sorted our house out, then worked from home for a bit longer.

Things continue to change, now at increasing velocity. In the space of a few hours, my climbing gym went from the (faintly ridiculous) recommendation for everyone to stand a bit further apart and turning off the WiFi, to closing for a month. Sporting fixtures that were going to occur behind closed doors are totally cancelled, and even the apparnelt sacred flights of Brits to America may soon be banned. It’s going to get stranger before it stops…
