Late to bed and early to rise, makes a man healthy and wealthy and wise

I’m a bit tired today: I had a climbing session this evening after work and was a bit weaker than last week – there were a few problems I could manage before, and now I can’t, but progress is never a straight line. After all, there were also problems I could do today that I couldn’t before, and others that I did more cleanly than last time. So it was up and down.
What’s sapping more of my energy is the thought that I’m flying to Kuala Lumpur for a day trip tomorrow, and because I’m on the 7:45 flight I have to be at the airport before 7 (probably before 6:45) which means getting up and out by 6, which means a 5:30 alarm. Which never fills me with joy.

On the positive, I got home in time to see my girls before they went to bed, and also in time to play an online game of Blood Bowl, where although I lost 2-1, my team did score their first ever touchdown. In their sixth game. They have not been prolific scorers, but I’m starting to get the hang of them, I think.

Anyway, to bed, to rest my sore and aching body, and to prepare myself for tomorrow’s journey…
