I woke up today to the sound of rain, and tried to go back to sleep. I’d been unable to sleep until about 2:30 this morning, so I wanted more sleep, but there were children to get up and off to school. There was also a downpour, so I had to shepherd two children, each clutching an umbrella, across roads and through the housing estate. Clearly they like rain, because I had no complaints or clinginess from Destroyer today, and then I went off to work, pleased that my feet weren’t completely soaked.
I had a training session at the gym tonight at 9,but with my wife putting the kids down I was at a loose end, so I went down an hour early and climbed lots of things. There were a few problems I’d not attempted before that I could manage: slightly tricky stuff on a slab wall where I needed to keep bracing my legs on a obtuse angle. After two hours we finished off with pull ups, so I felt a little brutalised.
I got home, found my wife asleep on the sofa, turfed her off and then got close to falling asleep myself. The o ly thing keeping me awake was the stench of my own body. And so to bed.
