School play

We went to the Whittier Elementary school play tonight, a ludicrous production of a musical called Junie B Jones, where the lighting, costumes and general production values were far in excess of what you’d expect from some 10 year olds. The girls were entranced, I was befuddled by small children orchestrating some Busby Barclay moves, and at 8 o’clock we fled the school to take the kids home for bed.
On the way back, we got four tickets for the inaugural Seattle Donutfest, a one day celebration of doughnuts in a large warehouse down by Magnusson Park, so that’s tomorrow sorted, come rain or shine.

Next weekend we’re off to the Hoh Rainforest so we should probably start packing for that. It’s a wild few days…
