I got up early (well, 7am) and headed up to the bowling lanes at Everett where we play Blood Bowl. I got a game and a half in then had to rush home to take the girls to a birthday party. Playing Blood Bowl in person rather than online was quite an adjustment, and though I lost my main match 2-1 (too much rushing to score, like some sort of rookie player), I still had fun and learned a few things. Hopefully there’s a legit tournament soon …
The birthday party had a magician, costumes for all the kids, pizza and a treasure hunt, which makes me think we need to up our game for La Serpiente’s and Destroyer’s celebrations. Now our sofa is covered in glitter for no apparent reason. Also, all of a sudden we’ve been recruited to house sit for somebody for a month, as they need their rabbit looked after, and so we’re saving upwards of $4,000 on Airbnb costs. So that was quite a good day. At this rate we might be able to get a holiday at Christmas out of the country (depending on my visa situation…)
Then home, and out to friends for a Memorial weekend barbecue, where I got my meat of the month, and now, like a gorged snake, I must crawl away and digest…
