Slow hard start

I woke up sore today from yesterday’s workout (a partially completed beast-mode in VR) and then stumbled around for most of the day. The weather started cold; I’d left some iced water in a cup next to the heater last night, and the water was still frozen this morning. But the sun came out, the day was pleasant, and I managed to get in a Pilates session and a workout today. Gradually creeping back to some sort of semblance of fitness.
This evening I felt exhausted though: I put the kids down while almost passing out, fell asleep next to La Serpiente and had to fight to stay awake for the rest of the evening. What is this, an adjustment to Mondays being too much?
