After my trip to California I had Friday off, so I could concentrate on prep for my tournament tomorrow. As usual, I spent plenty of time stressing over whether things were printed, if I had the trophies painted, enough rosters and pens and pitches to go around, and whether I’d be playing or just spectating the three rounds.
I also had a few last minute drop outs (family Halloween fun time, a child with a broken wrist and a case of covid) but even after that I think we have more players than last year. And it would be more if there wasn’t a competing event in Kansas City drawing a few coaches away.
So, apart from my wife eating my breakfast tonight after I went out to buy it to save time tomorrow, things are pretty much going to plan. Now to sleep, and hopefully get up in time tomorrow….
