I had another race this morning, down at Seward Park, and I persuaded the girls and my wife to come with me (leaving the house at 8:30 in the morning to accompany me to the race). It was freezing cold and I ended up walking most of the ascents today, but sprinted the end of it to do a 44 minute 6k. Which, well, shows that if you do a run, then wait four weeks before doing any other exercise… you won’t be that quick.
Never mind, we went to get coffee nearby, then saw Flour Box, a doughnut shop with a line around the block. We queued for an hour, got some very frou-frou doughnuts, then went home.
Now fading from the exercise, I went to the finals of my Blood Bowl league, and lost 2-1 in a hard fought game. Next time, next time!
And so to bed. Tomorrow will be a struggle…
