Waley wakey

I walked the girls to school and then, as planned, went for a run. I expected it to be hard, I didn’t realise it was going to be so hard. I managed eleven minutes, running less than five blocks north of the school before turning to run towards home, go a little south and loop back. Was it not having run since October? Was it being worn out from swimming? Wearing a mask? Trying to deal with five hours sleep? Whatever it was, I was glad to stop and sit down, even though that little bit of exercise left me in pieces for the rest of today. Every journey has to start somewhere…
